Functional role of TRGs in brown algae

Andrea Celeste Lopez Díaz
I got my bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes (UAA) and a master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology from Cinvestav. With experience in microbiology, in vitro cultures, biochemistry, and plant physiology, as well as molecular biology in various model systems such as bacteria, fungi and plants. I am currently a Ph.D. student in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen. My research focuses on the identification of taxonomically restricted genes (TRGs) and their role in the emergence of multicellularity in brown algae.
